Types of Scissor Lifts Available for Rental in Dubai
Understanding the different scissor lift categories helps you select the optimal machine for your project requirements:
Electric Scissor Lifts
Electric scissor lifts are the most popular choice for indoor applications in Dubai warehouses, shopping malls, and office buildings:
- Working heights: 6m to 14m platform heights available
- Zero emissions: Safe for enclosed spaces with no fumes

- Extended working heights: Up to 18m platform height
- Higher load capacity: Support multiple workers plus materials
- Rough terrain capability: Handle uneven construction site surfaces
- Extended runtime: All-day operation without recharging
- Best for: Facade work, structural steel, outdoor maintenance, MEP installations
Rough Terrain Scissor Lifts
RT scissor lifts combine elevated reach with off-road capability for challenging UAE construction environments:

Choosing the Right Scissor Lift for Your Dubai Project
Height Requirements Assessment
Calculate your actual working height requirements carefully:
- Working height: Maximum reach including operator arm extension (~2m above platform)
- Platform height: Actual deck elevation—always less than working height
- Indoor clearance: Consider door heights and ceiling obstructions
- Safety margin: Add buffer for comfortable, safe work positioning
Platform Size and Capacity
Match platform dimensions to your crew and material needs:
- Standard platforms accommodate 2-3 workers
- Extended platforms support larger crews plus tools/materials
- Load capacity typically ranges from 250kg to 700kg
- Consider tool weight, materials, and personnel combined
